MAIN STREET
Hailed as a “Great American Main Street” by the National Trust for Historic Preservation, this 10-block stretch teems with enticing shops and restaurants. Tree-lined Main Street makes a delightful place to eat, shop, and stroll – especially after dark when its maples and oaks twinkle enchantingly with tiny white lights.

MICE ON MAIN
The Mice on Main are 9 tiny bronze mice hidden along a section of Main Street for kids and kids-at-heart to discover. Inspired by the children’s book Goodnight Moon, start at the NOMA Square, and use the hints (PDF) for a fun afternoon in downtown Greenville. While you’re hunting for the hidden mice, step into Mast General Store or pop into O.P. Taylor’s toy store and grab a copy of the book, Mice on Main, written by Linda Kelly and illustrated by mice sculptor, Zan Wells, as an adorable reminder of your experience. FALLS PARK AT THE REEDY & LIBRARY BRIGDE
Far more than a nature lover’s paradise, Falls Park on the Reedy, located in downtown Greenville’s Historic West End, is one of Greenville’s greatest treasures. The park serves as an oasis within the city – a place where people gather to work, play and celebrate life.
Falls Park, located at 601 S. Main St, Greenville, is open from 6 a.m. – 9 p.m. daily. Parking: on the street – 2-hour, free parking; some parking lots – 2-hour, free parking; parking garages – Paid parking. Approximately a 15-minute drive from GBC.

SWAMP RABBIT TRAIL
The Swamp Rabbit Trail is a 22-mile multi-use (walking and bicycling) greenway that traverses along the Reedy River, an old railroad corridor and City parks to connect Travelers Rest with the City of Greenville, South Carolina.

UPCOUNTRY HISTORY MUSEUM
The Upcountry History Museum is a history museum in Greenville that displays the regional history of fifteen upstate South Carolina counties from the early 18th century to the present. Hours: Tuesday-Saturday: 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Admissions: $12 Adults; $11 Senior adults (ages 65 and up) and college students with valid ID; $9 Children age 3 to 18. Approximately a 15-minute drive from GBC.

PARIS MOUNTAIN STATE PARK
Paris Mountain State Park’s roots date as far back as the Great Depression when it was built by the Civilian Conservation Corps. This heritage can still be seen in the preserved stone and timber outside of the renovated bathhouse, now known as the Park Center. Inside, the center features historical exhibits and a classroom to teach young and old about the park’s ecology. Admission: $6 adults; $3.75 SC seniors (age 65 & older); $3.50/ child age 6-15; Free for children 5 and younger.Hours:8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., daily. Approximately a 20-minute drive from GBC.

COWPENS NATIONAL BATTLEFIELD
Cowpens National Battlefield is the scene of an important Revolutionary War battle. On January 17, 1781, General Daniel Morgan and his American army soundly defeated the large British force under Col. “Bloody” Banastre Tarleton. About a 50-minute drive from GBC.

KINGS MOUNTAIN NATIONAL BATTLEFIELD
Kings Mountain Battlefield park is the historic site of The Battle of Kings Mountain. Fought October 7, 1780, this battle was the first major patriot victory following the British invasion of Charleston. Today, the park includes a visitor center with historical exhibits and hiking trails that surround the battlefield. Open daily from 9am-5pm. Approximately a 50-minute drive from GBC.
