Luke & Courtney
Peterson
Biography
The Lord converted Pastor Luke Peterson around the age of 18. Early after his conversion, the Lord impressed upon him a call to pastoral ministry. Originally from North Carolina, Pastor Luke was ordained to the gospel ministry in 2012. He pastored a congregation in North Carolina from 2012 until 2017 when the Lord sent him and his family to Central America.
In 2017, he and his family lived in Nicaragua, learning the Spanish language. In the Lord’s providence, in 2018, he was sent to plant a confessional church in Liberia, Costa Rica. There he served for two years as a missionary. He was installed as a pastor at Emmanuel Baptist Church in November 2020 and currently serves the congregation full-time. The Lord, in his kind providence, has opened up a door to return to minister in Liberia, Costa Rica at the Reformed Baptist Church of Liberia. The Petersons are setting their faces to be sent out by EBC September 2025. Pastor Luke is married to his beloved bride, Courtney, and they have two young children.
