Mountain View Baptist Church is a congregation dedicated to seeking and sharing the treasure of the Gospel together. We are currently seeking a God-fearing, bi-vocational Senior Pastor who is called to shepherd our flock, preach the Word with clarity, and lead us in impacting our culture for the glory of Christ.
The Role & Vision
The ideal candidate will be a man of prayer and integrity (1 Tim 3:1-7) who finds his greatest joy in a deepening relationship with Jesus Christ. We are looking for a leader who will:
- Prioritize the Word: Provide consistent, biblical exegetical and expository preaching.
- Shepherd the Flock: Lovingly disciple members of all ages and stages of life.
- Lead with Vision: Guide our mission to be a light in Roswell through evangelism and community impact.
- Champion the Gospel: Cultivate a culture where the Gospel is central to everything we do.
Our Theological Identity
Mountain View Baptist Church holds to the inerrant and infallible Word of God as our sole authority.
- Confession: We embrace the 1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith as our primary statement of faith. We adopt this confession not as an authoritative rule or code of faith, but as a faithful expression of the doctrine taught in Scripture, a means of instruction and education, a basis for church unity, an aid in controversy, and a basis for formal association with other churches.
- Conviction: We seek a pastor who is of “like mind and heart” regarding these Reformed Baptist convictions and who will use them as a tool for instruction and edification.
Compensation & Context
- Salary: $40,000 yearly (Bi-vocational)
- Location: Roswell, NMโa community where we believe the Gospel can make a profound impact
