Applicants should be committed to the faithful exposition of Scripture, the sufficiency of God’s Word, and the shepherding of Christ’s church. Purpose: To serve Navarro Mills Baptist Church in the area of Church Pastor as we seek to fulfill our calling in the local community and the world. Primary Responsibility:First and formost, preaches from the Word of God every Sunday. Performs duties as the Church Pastor. Provides leadership and supervision for the pastoral and support staff. Delegates ministry duties and responsibilities. With the Elders and Deacons, seeks god’s calling for the Church and communicates his vision. Shepherds the flock and preaches the Word. Works closely with Elders and appointed church leadership. Administration: Act as moderator in business meetings Meet annually with the Pastoral Search Committee to discuss concerns, challenges and agreements with the current employment contract. Meet with Elders & Deacons and help lead them in serving the needs of the congregation Oversee Church staff by supervising their tasks as assigned by the Church leadership Exercise oversight in the administration of the ministries and mission of the Church. Ministry: Performs or provides oversight for ceremonis such as communion, baptism, weddings, funerals, etc Serves as a resource for church members Promotes and prepares Church members to perform ministry work through discipleship and being an Apostle Directs and participates in the pastoral ministry – some counseling, reaching out to church members etcWould love to receive your resumé and go from there.
