Nathaniel Connors

Biography

Captain Nathaniel Connors is a United States Air Force Chaplain currently serving the families of the 509th Operations Group at Whiteman Air Force Base, Missouri. In his role, he advises leadership on matters pertaining to religion, morale, ethics, morality, and the overall welfare of airmen and their families. He has served as an Active Duty Chaplain for the past six years.

Prior to entering the Chaplain Corps, Connors spent sixteen years on Active Duty as a Security Forces member. During his Security Forces career, he served at F. E. Warren Air Force Base, Wyoming; Osan Air Base, Korea; Aviano Air Base, Italy; Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas; and Edwards Air Force Base, California. He also deployed to Afghanistan in support of combat operations.

The Lord called Connors to the Chaplaincy while he was serving as a Security Forces instructor at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland. However, he did not answer that call until his deployment to Afghanistan, where his experiences made it painfully clear that the Chaplaincy was where he was called to serve, regardless of how much he doubted his ability to be an effective Chaplain.

Since entering the Chaplain Corps, Connors has served at Patrick Space Force Base, Florida, and Aviano Air Base, Italy, including a deployment to Poland. He also spent a year participating in the Air Force Clinical Pastoral Education program at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas.

Connors is endorsed for military chaplaincy by the Associated Gospel Churches (AGC), the endorsing agency for the Reformed Baptist Network (RBNet). He earned both his Bachelor of Science and Master of Divinity degrees in Theology from Liberty University, and he is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Theology and Apologetics at Liberty University.

He is ordained by Providence Reformed Baptist Church in Cibolo, Texas, and is sponsored by Puxico First Baptist Church in Missouri.

Connors is married to his wife Marissa, and together they have five children: Marquis, Narayah, Nyโ€™Asiah, Namiah, and Mekhi. His family is an integral part of his life and calling, and he considers the opportunity to serve both Airmen and families a privilege and a sacred responsibility.
