Floral Park Baptist church in Butte, MT is seeking a lead Pastor/Elder. The city of Butte is a small, predominately Roman Catholic, mining community of around 35,000 people located on the backbone of the continental divide. The winters are brutal, the people are hardened towards the gospel and the work is difficult. Only 1.4% of the community attend a Protestant church on any given Sunday.
We are seeking a pastor who is sold out for Christ, who fears God, is seasoned in suffering, possesses grit and is determined to persevere. The pay is low, the cost of living is high and the church is small.
If you are seeking an easy place to retire, or if you have just graduated from seminary and are looking for your first church, this is not the church for you.
