Chaplain, Capt. Steve Richardson

Biography

Chaplain, Capt Steve Richardson serves the Air Commando’s and families of the 319th Special Operations Squadron at Hurlburt Field, FL. In his role, he advises leadership on all matters pertaining to religion, morale, ethics, morality, and the welfare of the troops. He has been an active duty chaplain for 6 years and has recently begun the process of transitioning out of active duty to the North Carolina Air National Guard, where he will serve the Airmen of the 145th Airlift Wing in Charlotte, NC. Steve and his family (wife-Stephanie, son- Luke, daugther-Lydia) also accepted a call to serve as the Associate Pastor for Discipleship and Family Ministries at Shallow Well Church in Sanford, NC beginning January of 2025.

While on active duty, Steve deployed twice to the Middle East in support of Operations Inherent Resolve and Enduring Freedom. He has had the privilege of counseling thousands, baptizing many, and preaching the gospel at numerous chapel services.

Steve is endorsed for chaplaincy by Associated Gospel Churches (AGC), the endorsing agency for RBNet. He received both his B.S and M.Div. from Liberty University in Psychology and Chaplaincy respectively. He is ordained by Forestville Baptist Church in Greenville, SC and is sponsored by Arbor Church in Dayton, OH.
