Larry & Bonnie Secrest – Lima, Peru

Larry and Bonnie serve as missionaries in Lima, Peru.

The Secrests have returned to Lima through South America Mission with the vision of seeing churches strengthened throughout Perú. Prior to their current assignment, they served in Lima as church planters in the 1970s. Praise God that church continues today! During that time, they discipled people of all ages.

Now, their service focuses upon the reception of medical teams from the USA. Plus the organization of Peruvian teams through VASE, Voluntarios en Ayuda Social y Evangelismo (Volunteers in Social Help and Evangelism). They currently average three to four teams per year that work with local churches on the coast, mountains, and jungle areas of Peru.

Larry and Bonnie also participate in the leadership of a new church plant in the area of Miraflores. This new work consists of a core group of about 30 people and is called Iglesia Bíblica Gracia y Verdad. The leadership team includes Larry as well as two Peruvians and a Venezuelan. Bonnie leads a growing ministry to the women in the congregation. At the present time, they are developing a constitution. The Church’s confession, is the 1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith.
