Tim Wenger

Biography

In His providence, the Lord placed Tim in a Christian family, where God began working in his heart from an early age. By the age of six, he was convinced that he would become a missionary, and at sixteen, he came to understand that his mission field would also include his native country.

Tim Wenger has been married to Marlyse since 1999. In 2013, the divine Shepherd called him to serve as pastor of the small Reformed Baptist Church in Neuchâtel, which was planted by Olivier Favre and founded in 2004. Before beginning their ministry in Neuchâtel, the Lord graciously allowed them to spend three months at Grace Fellowship Church in Bremen, Indiana, where they gained a deeper understanding of church life according to Reformed Baptist doctrine, firmly grounded in Christ.

Since 2007, the Lord has also entrusted Tim with a part-time ministry focused on biblical and sports training for young people. Through God’s work, many of these young people go on to serve as camp leaders and coordinators. Active in children’s and youth camps since 1992, Tim had the joy of founding Reformed Baptist camps for children in 2011, and he has remained actively involved ever since.

In these various contexts, deeply moved by the Gospel—the foundation of all true reconciliation—he developed the Peacemaker teaching ministry in French. Desiring to use the gifts God has entrusted to him for His service, he also participates in several collaborative projects that bring together Reformed Baptist churches in French-speaking Switzerland and neighboring regions of France (biblical college, summer camps, etc.).

For many years, Tim worked part-time in IT to reduce the financial burden on the church in Neuchâtel. Since 2018, Grace Fellowship Church in Bremen, together with other churches in RBNet, have committed to supporting him so that he may devote more time to proclaiming the gospel in French-speaking Switzerland and to helping the local church grow toward financial independence in the years ahead.
